About Me

I’ve been sewing since I was a little girl. My grandmother was my original teacher but I’ve been fortunate to have many mentors throughout the years including several neighbors, teachers, and other wonderful talented people. I started with making Barbie and doll clothes which eventually evolved into making my own clothes. My younger sister would take my creations and dole them out to her friends (without my permission) but dang they looked good on them!

When I had children mending became a BIG part of my life. With three young boys there was always work to be done. I started making little boy clothing and as they entered their teens years plenty of alterations were needed to be done. Now that my sons have grown up I have more time to focus on the parts of sewing that bring me joy. My favorite thing is to make things whole. I love to have people feel empowered in their clothing and living spaces. I absolutely love to help people simplify their everyday lives and make a busy day a little less busy.

I currently established a workspace dedicated to my passion along the lakeside in Forest Lake and I look forward to collaborating on your next project with you!
